WordPress sent me an end of the year annual report on my blog progress which I found interesting. This blog I am writing right now is my 196th blog since I started writing four years ago.
Here is one of the paragraphs from the annual report:
A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,400 times in 2011. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 5 trips to carry that many people.
In 2011, there were 35 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 194 posts.
The busiest day of the year was July 14th with 190 views. The most popular post that day was “Old Friends”.
Most of my readers in 2011 came from the United States, South Africa and Spain. There were also readers in other parts of the world such as Australia, Kuwait, Thailand and Germany.
WordPress has made some improvements to their site and now it is easier than ever to be a follower on my site. Just click the “follow” icon on the very top of my blog page. If you don’t have the follow button on the top of your web page like I do, then perhaps you could sign up using the email subscription on the right hand side of the page. I would eventually like everyone who reads my blog to click the “follow” icon so I don’t have to email my post out anymore. Please oblige.
Until next time, the mothership is signing off.
